I believe many people are still using this keyboard even though it\u2019s rather old, and the only&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/service.hexcore.xyz\/manual\/annepro\/\">other English user guide<\/a>&nbsp;that exists is poorly translated from Chinese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tested with firmware 1.40.00.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bluetooth\/setup mode<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/detach8\/obins-anne-pro-user-guide#bluetoothsetup-mode\"><\/a>Enter setup mode by pressing <strong>FN+B<\/strong>. Pressing <strong>ESC<\/strong> or <strong>FN+B<\/strong> again exits the mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When in setup mode, the keys <strong>1<\/strong>, <strong>2<\/strong>, <strong>3<\/strong>, <strong>4<\/strong>, <strong>A<\/strong>, <strong>B<\/strong>, <strong>0<\/strong>, <strong>&#8211;<\/strong> and <strong>+<\/strong> are lit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once in setup mode, press the following to configure specific settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8220;+&#8221; &#8211; Enable bluetooth broadcast<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;-&#8221; &#8211; Disable bluetooth (radio off)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FN+1, 2, 3 or 4 &#8211; Save current connection to a profile (1 thru 4) &#8211; bluetooth must be connected to device before saving\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Red = no device saved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yellow = device saved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green = current connected device<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1, 2, 3 or 4 &#8211; Quick switch to a saved profile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FN+0 &#8211; Switch between Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mode and normal mode\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Green &#8211; BLE mode (discovered device name contains &#8220;L0&#8221;)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yellow &#8211; Normal mode (discovered device name contains &#8220;L1&#8221;)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Takes about a second or two to switch after you press the key<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A &#8211; Enable\/disable backlight auto-sleep (new in 1.40.00)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Green = Auto-sleep on (backlight will switch off after 1 minute)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Red = Auto-sleep off (backlight will not switch off)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Switching layouts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/detach8\/obins-anne-pro-user-guide#switching-layouts\"><\/a>The keyboard has four different layouts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Windows<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Windows with ALT\/FN\/Menu\/? keys as arrows<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mac (Alt and Win swapped)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not sure (undocumented)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>How to switch modes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Press L CTRL + R CTRL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Release either one CTRL while still holding the other down<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap the released CTRL key to cycle through the modes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will see the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 light up in green indicating the current layout mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FN mode lock<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/detach8\/obins-anne-pro-user-guide#fn-mode-lock\"><\/a>To activate FN lock:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Press ALT+ALT<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press ALT+ALT again to revert to normal mode<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are no visual indicators to tell if you are in FN lock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Backlight modes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/detach8\/obins-anne-pro-user-guide#backlight-modes\"><\/a>Various backlight options are controlled through four function toggles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>FN+R &#8211; Turn off\/on backlight<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FN+T &#8211; Rate\/speed change (for animated modes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FN+Y &#8211; Backlight brightness (10 levels)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FN+U &#8211; Cycle through different backlight modes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Available modes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Static red<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static yellow<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static green<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static cyan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static blue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static purple<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static pink<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static orange<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static white<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static blue\/white\/red (France flag)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static green\/white\/red (Italy flag)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Static cyan with white middle row (row 3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Animated pulsing colour cycle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Animated rainbow scrolling\/marquee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Random colour on keypress (fades away)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Random colour on keypress (remains lit)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Animated light spread on keypress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Animated random colour on keys<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Win key disable<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/detach8\/obins-anne-pro-user-guide#win-key-disable\"><\/a>To disable the Win key (or Command key in Mac mode):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>FN+WIN &#8211; Disable the WIN key<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FN+WIN again to enable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s no visual indicator on whether the key is locked or not. In Mac mode, FN+ALT locks the command key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DFU mode<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/detach8\/obins-anne-pro-user-guide#dfu-mode\"><\/a>DFU mode is required for upgrading firmware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enter DFU mode:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unplug the USB cable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold ESC while poking the reset button behind the keyboard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect the USB cable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>These instructions are also posted as a README in GitHub:<\/em><br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/detach8\/obins-anne-pro-user-guide\/tree\/master\">https:\/\/github.com\/detach8\/obins-anne-pro-user-guide\/tree\/master<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was gifted this keyboard and decided to write a proper English User Guide as a contribution back to the community for the blessing.
